About the Course
Hosted in collaboration with The Governance Lab, Swiss Data Alliance and Opendata.ch, this intensive programme brought together data practitioners to explore the evolving role of data stewards — those who build the bridge between data and the common good. We explored how data stewardship can help organisations unlock the value of data in ways that are strategic, ethical, and people-centred — beyond technology alone.
Together, we worked on:
- Defining meaningful data demand
- Mapping available (and missing) data supply
- Preparing data for open reuse and AI-readiness
- Building sustainable strategies using the Data Stewards Canvas
From designing data strategies to understanding the practical challenges of collaboration, the course offered a unique space to turn reflection into action.
